River Relations
The above works, done in collaboration with photographer John Holmgren, contribute to a 8-person artistic research project entitled River Relations: A Beholder's Share of the Columbia River.

This interdisciplinary project was undertaken as a response to the damming and development of the Columbia River in British Columbia, Washington and Oregon, and the upcoming renegotiation of the Columbia River Treaty. Through artwork and writing, members of our team aimed to synthesize our own experiences along the river with analyses of contemporary and historical research material. Through this project, we have sought to contribute to larger dialogue around the river through visual art, writing and public engagement. I worked as the initiator and coordinator of the project. The project was supported through multiple grants from SSHRC (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada).
